🕓 4 MINUno Platform MCP Servers/Tools bring Playwright-style UI testing automation to native .NET apps
With the release of Uno Platform 6.1, Uno Platform Studio has received significant updates designed to streamline your development workflow. This Uno Tech Bite covers the new Thickness Editor and the on-canvas Margin & Padding Visualizers, features that make layout design more intuitive and interactive.
Full Symmetry: The default mode where a single value is applied uniformly to all four sides of the control.
Axis Symmetry: This mode pairs the horizontal (left/right) and vertical (top/bottom) values. This is perfect for when you need different spacing on the sides versus the top and bottom. For example, you can set a side thickness of 20 and a top/bottom thickness of 10.
Asymmetrical: For ultimate precision, this mode unlocks all four values (Left, Top, Right, Bottom), allowing you to set each one independently.
Margin & Padding: When you select a control, its Margin is shown as a green overlay and its Padding as a purple overlay. Hovering over these colored areas reveals a tooltip with the exact value, giving you immediate feedback on your layout.
Panel Spacing: The visualizer also works for panels. For instance, if you set the Spacing property on a StackPanel, you will see visual lines appear between the child elements, clearly showing how they will be spaced out.
With Hot Design in Uno Platform Studio, you can edit your UI while your app is running and see results instantly.
It’s visual, it’s fast, and it’s free to try.
