We’re excited to announce that the Uno Platform is participating in this years #Hacktoberfest and anyone who contributes a pull request to the Uno Platform on GitHub between October 1 and October 31 will receive a Uno Platform T-shirt plus some limited edition swag ™.

How to participate

We use two labels help wanted and good first issue to identify issues that have been specially curated for new contributors. The good first issue label is a subset of help wanted label, indicating that members have committed to providing extra assistance for new contributors. All good first issue items also have the help wanted label. Items marked with the good first issue label are intended for first-time contributors.

About the Uno Platform

The Uno Platform enables you to utilize your existing skills (C# and XAML) to create UI rich WebAssembly and native mobile applications – currently the only platform to do so. On iOS and Android, the Uno Platform relies extensively on the Xamarin Native stack. On WebAssembly, the Uno Platform relies directly on the Mono-Wasm runtime.

the architecture of the uno platform

The best way to get started with the Uno Platform is to check out the Uno Bootcamp workshop which was recently open-sourced at UnoConf. Inside of the workshop you’ll find everything a software developer needs to know when developing apps with the Uno Platform. Module #7 – Working with Uno contains insights for contributors as to how Uno works under the hood, source level debugging and how to monkey patch Uno’s internals.

The Uno Platform is an open-source project that is available under the permissive Apache 2 license. If your organization requires a deeper level of support beyond our community support, please contact us. Our professional support is more than a contract – it is a shared responsibility for your project success. Our engineering team will collaborate with you to ensure the success of your projects, and our custom application development team at nventive is also available to lend its expertise.
